Dr. Jim Agrusa did his undergraduate work at the University of Detroit. There he graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While Doctors of Chiropractic receive virtually the same number of classroom hours, about 4500, as a medical or osteopathic practitioner, the curriculum varies somewhat because chiropractic doctors choose not to prescribe drugs or perform surgery, instead they focus on chiropractic adjusting techniques and x-ray analysis. While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Agrusa completed courses in biochemistry, human anatomy, physiology and pathology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic. Dr. Agrusa was also a senior intern at the Palmer College Public Clinic, a member of the Palmer College Honor Society and graduated first in his class. Before obtaining his license Dr. Agrusa had to pass rigorous National Board and State board examinations.
Each year Dr. Agrusa attends seminars and classes to keep abreast with the latest developments in the chiropractic profession and the field of healthcare. He wants to make sure that his patients are receiving the latest information and procedures available.
Dr. Agrusa believes that it is important that a patient understands their condition, how chiropractic works and how chiropractic will be used to correct their problem now and prevent a problem in the future.
Dr. Agrusa graduated in 1982 and has been serving the community at his current location since 1986. He knows that while it is important to address and control the symptoms, it is essential to correct the cause of the health problem. By doing this it will be possible to achieve maximum healing and health. Dr. Agrusa has had much success with cases involving headaches, neck pain, low back pain, and sciatica as well as sports injuries. He has also worked with many patients that have suffered automobile or worker’s compensation injuries.
Dr. Agrusa and his staff are dedicated to providing you with the highest degree of care and professionalism. They are committed to serve you and your chiropractic needs.
